FAQ's
FAQ's:
Do you have a restaurant?
No, this isn't Seth's full time job. Also, until and unless El Dorado County opts in to AB 626 permitting Micro Enterprise Home Kitchen Operations, it is not legal for him to prepare food for sale in his home kitchen. Seth is working to change that, however, and would appreciate your support. In the mean time, he can prepare the exact same meal for you in the comfort of your home.
How does this work?
Once you have selected a menu, Seth will show up to your house on the day of the event and get to cooking! He brings all the equipment, supplies, serveware and ingredients to you, prepares the food, serves it to you and your guests, and will clean up afterwards!
How much does it cost?
It depends on the amount of people, the number of courses, and the type of food you want. As rough guidelines, a simple dinner can be as little as $45 per person. On the top end, a lavish multi-course tasting meal can run upwards of $130 per person. We can cook for as small as an intimate dinner for two or a party for 70. For a larger event, Seth is happy to prepare a tasting dinner as part of the service so you can decide exactly what you'd like to have. Contact us for more information and a quote!
I've never had Persian food/have never heard of dish X. What is it like?
Persian food is almost exactly what you'd expect it to be based on its geography; a blend of Greek/Mediterranean and Indian foods, but it has its own unique flavors as well. Saffron, rose water, pistachios, mint, barberries, kashke and sumac are all unique flavors featured in many Persian dishes.
What else do you make aside from Persian food?
We can prepare food with unique flavors throughout the world. From chocolate bouchons to mapo ragu, Seth can make it! Let us know what you're dreaming of and we'll make it happen!
Why are you doing this?
Seth is an avid home chef, and loves cooking for guests. The nearest Persian restaurant is more than two hours from the Lake Tahoe/Carson City area, so Seth offers his services professionally to fill a gap in the market.
